"Greece-Czech Republic: e-values"

Two primary school classes, (one Greek and one Czech) met each other through e-twinning and had multiple communications (e-mail, chat, skype). It was a great opportunity to integrate ICT and English, working on a project that we named “e-values”. The main goal for the students was to understand that communication on internet isn’t good or bad on its own, but it’s how you use it. The students explored many proverbs, common to both cultures, which could offer values in the face of internet communication dangers. So, in the end, both schools worked on scenarios about forest animals surfing on internet, and dealing with its dangers. The students selected three scenarios, drew the pictures and recorded the dialogues in order to create a movie maker presentation. Benefits:
• be aware of internet dangers and find ways of protection.
• develop the ability to be critical dealing with internet communication.
• use of English and ICT in order to communicate with their foreign classmates and with the competition’s audience (blog).
• be aware that all European countries have the same attitudes through internet and could deal with the same problems in a common way.
