EMINENT 2009 speakers: Maïté Debry

Maïté Debry is Project Administrator for the Business Development, Information and Communication team at European Schoolnet. Originally from Belgium, Maïté holds a Degree in Political Sciences with a specialisation in international relations from the University of Brussels and a Master’s Degree in development studies specialised in development programmes and projects from the Catholic University of Louvain. She will be one of the panelists for the workshop on European networking for eSafety and eSkills. She will present the results of Inspire, the Innovative Science Pedagogy in Research and Education project. She will highlight the valuable role of new teaching methods to increase students’ understanding of MST and to provide young people with the fundamental skills necessary to
undertake career in the ICT sector. She will also underline the importance of innovative teaching methods to address the lack of interest in starting
scientific and ICT studies.
