EMINENT 2009 speakers: Caroline Kearney
Caroline Kearney currently works as an education analyst for European Schoolnet, concentrating on European studies and issues of knowledge management concerning Maths, Science, ICT and innovation in education.
Previous to this post she worked for one year at the Eurydice European Unit – the European Commission’s Information Network on Education in Europe. She has experience in contributing to the coordination, drafting and editing of European studies for publication (e.g. Arts and Cultural Education in Europe [Eurydice] and How are digital games used in schools? [European Schoolnet]).
Caroline has had work experience in teaching in two secondary schools in France, and in EU project management at the Lifelong Learning Agency in Prague. She holds a BA Honours Degree in Philosophy and History of Art from University College London, and has a Masters with Distinction in Comparative Education, from the Institute of Education, London. She has undergone training at the European Commission in the Directorate General for Education and Culture, in the unit for Lifelong Learning Policies, as well as participated in two Erasmus Intensive Programmes in Germany and Spain for post-graduates working in European education policy or research.
