Models for School Collaboration - Science & Maths projects, winners and runners up.

In order to see how this year’s top European projects got to the top of the list, this session provides an opportunity for participants to hear an expert present an analysis of the Science & Maths winning projects as well as hearing directly from the teachers involved. The session allows for an exchange of good practice and interaction.

eSafety in eTwinning projects

bullyning on line copia.jpg

The picture is part of the video Stop bullying online http://www.keepcontrol.eu/

The speaker, one of the experts of the European Commission has guided us to understand the risks of the net making us aware of the problem through discussion, experience, stories. It has been interesting for me to know how the European Commission is facing the problem of cyber-bullying which is more widespread than we could think.

Some colleagues have referred some interesting experiences seeing them involved in problems like copyright, using images concerning their pupils, or telling bad stories about an adolescent who committed suicide after having been bullied online. The groups enoyed discussing and exchanging experiences enriching their knowledge about the problem that as etwinners we can’t avoid facing.

Another meaningful moment of the workshop has been devoted to make our students aware of the risks of the social networks . Each group suggested original stories to make our students reflect on the effect of cyber-bullyng, copyright, the unauthorized use of people’s pictures , parental permission to use their children’s photos.
Finally I’d like to point out some useful links for teachers, parents and pupils.
