Orienteering

Every autumn and spring we have orienteering at Mösseberg, our mountain. It´s about half a swedish mile from school. We go by bike uphill. When we have reached the top we have our snacks and after that we have some excercises so we get used to the maps and the terrain.
Finally we have orienteering in small groups. When all have come back again it´s time for lunch and to go home.

Be careful with the boiling water/aqua/hydro/UISCE in Gaelic
I think we grabbed pupils' attention. Quite a biet of exploring, predicting, hypothesing, estimating ,calculating and timing involved.

Dalénium, a science center outside Falköping.

Mission 05
Our 6 graders got a mission from the community. There are some areas in town that they don´t know what to do with. So they asked the children in Falköping to make plans for those areas. Our two classes got the mission to give ideas what to do with a place not far from school.
So we went to Dalénium, a science center outside Falköping. There we made models of our plans. Hopefully some a the suggestions will be accomplished.

Artwork on Flowers

We have documented "The Field Trip", we have described, we have classified. Now we are adding an art element to our theme. Our background music comes from Pitesti in Romania, compliments of Crengutsa Tomescu whom we have already met on trans-national projects.Crengutsa is a very able performer and adds another dimension to the entry. Early next year 2008 we shall host 6 Romanian student teachers in Kerry.
