Every spring there is a festival called Carxofada Popular ( Artichoke festival). In the past Sant Boi was an important agricultural place. It was close to Barcelona and many vegetables were cultivated, and today there is still an important agricultural activity. One of the most important vegetables grown in Sant Boi are artichoke.
