Summer, Summer
On the 21st of June we'll turn in the summer, and in Catalonia on 23rd, Sant Joan's eve ( Saint John's eve) we celebrate the beginning of the summer. Many people have parties and fireworks are very popular. It's a celebration related to the summer's solstice.
In summer, near Sant Boi there are long sandy beaches, like in Castelldefels or Gavà, they are very handy if you have to work during the summer as you can reach them with the train or in a bus. 
Some people prefer swimming pools or evening life. Here discos and bars open till very very late, at weekend they don't close until 6 a.m. and even then some people continue in the after hours, places that open between 6 and 7 a.m. Underground is non stop
But for those, like me, how have already turn 40, we prefer to relax and have sometime to rest, or make excursions... to the mountain. Why not to Montseny? just 90 minutes from Sant Boi by car.
