Cory Doctorow (craphound.com) is a science fiction novelist, technology activist, journalist and blogger -- the co-editor of Boing Boing (boingboing.net) and the author of the bestselling Tor Teens novel LITTLE BROTHER. He is the former European director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and co-founded the UK Open Rights Group. Born in Toronto, Canada, he now lives in London.




With a background in UK Primary School teaching, Mark has been recognised with numerous ICT and teaching awards. His industry experience spans educational publishing and research and development roles for providers of online learning management systems. He is currently the Head of Education Product Strategy at Promethean.
His contributions include a number of inventions and first-time applications including the database publishing industry in India and Bangladesh. His work with multimedia and the ‘hole in the wall’ experiments with unsupervised learning by children are known all over the world.

Laurent Odic started teaching at the primary school level in 1992 and then moved on to become a teacher trainer, specialized in ICT. He trained teachers to use new technologies from 1999 to 2001, when he decided to join the French Ministry of Education as a National Project Manager in charge of the uses of ICT for primary schools and Interactive whiteboards. Since September 2007, Laurent Odic has joined eInstruction and is in charge of developing relationships within European educational community.

Greg has led a number of government reviews and enquires and has been responsible for multi-billion dollar budgets and major organizational change.Greg has also worked as an advisor on education and training to governments in the UK, Malaysia and the UAE.
Liz has been at the helm of the DCSF Global Gateway for nearly four years; it now has more than 25,000 schools on its database and works with other networks such as eTwinning and ePals, adding up to more than 350,000 schools in total across the world. The Gateway offers a school partner-finding service plus project recommendations, ICT advice, and its own simple teacher-managed project spaces on the DCSF eLanguages platform. UK schools are tracked and monitored through the framework of the DCSF International School Award, with an externally assessed final year that requires curriculum embedding and purposeful learning based around school linking. Over 2000 schools in the UK have completed the full award.
