The children of both 2nd and 3rd grade agreed to make arms and legs for Thumbelina the doll!
Here are some moments of our conversation in the classroom about how and what to do.
The video is captured by a pupil of 2nd grade. You can notice that kids avoid to look straight at the camera, in order not to show their faces for safety reasons.
In April, before Easter, we have prepared Easter decorations. First we have made Spring flowers and Easter eggs from coloured paper. One week before Easter we have planted seeds. We were taking care of these plants putting some water. When green plants have appeared we have added earlier prepared Easter decorations and each of us has taken them with us to our homes. Some Easter eggs we have sent by post to our friends from Greece.

After a walk in Lancut Palace with Jola's family, Jola had an excellent idea: to post cards to our partners. So we went to the Post office. But there, we realized that we hadn't with us all the partners' addresses. We apologize for that, but you must know that we tried hard to find them by phone! We didn't found all, but you all have our love!!!

Holly Mount Athos is the centre of Eastern Christian Orthodox Monasticism. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is a treasury which houses and guards many artfacts and monuments of religion, national and artistic value. It is also a "workshop" where religion's arts and crafts are still practiced to this day, and where deep and genuine spirituality is allowed to flourish and bear fruit. As an institution Mount Athos is, and has been, the chief standard bearer of Orthodox Christianity. http://www.inathos.gr/

Dear partners, kids, parents and friends, we are a little delayed, but finally we managed to make a presentation.
It is made by using Movie Maker, and includes photos and videos about:
1. Introducing eTwinning activities
2. Narration of Thumbelina by teacher Maria Kordera
3. Drawings scanning from Chapter 2 activities: Thumbelina and the frogs
The narration video and some photos were captured by a pupil.
All these activities implemented by Mrs Maria Kordera supported by me a little bit :-) (mostly in collaborative organizing and in technical issues, ICT using)
I delayed, because of the multitude of activities that I had to organize in a Movie Maker presentation.
Greetings
Mary

Translated by Henry William Dulcken PH.D., 1866 version
Thumbelina: Brad Sneed (Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales)
There was once a woman who wished for a very little child; but sho did not know where she should procure one. So she went to an old witch, and said,
" I do so very much wish for a little child! can you not tell me where I can get one ? "
" Oh ! that could easily be managed," said the witch. " There you have a barleycorn: that is not of the kind which grows in the countryman's field, and which the chickens get to eat. Put that into a flower-pot, and you shall see what you shall see."
" Thank you," said the woman; and she gave the witch twelve shillings, for that is what it cost.
Then she went home and planted the barleycorn, and immediately there grew up a great handsome flower, which looked like a tulip; but the leaves were tightly closed, as though it were still a bud. .......continue reading at Extended Entry...
