Students don’t like angry teachers. But they like good teachers. Good teachers are friendly, kind and clever. Teachers don’t like lazy and noisy students. Students are clever and honest, kind and polite, noisy and rude, lazy and funny, active and passive.

(This is an autumn day in the picture. It is the beginning of the school year. You see – our teachers are cheerful and happy. It means they like the school, and they like teaching us. We like their smiles, too! 13 teachers at school are tutors. They must take care of their students; a teacher has one class to look after. For example, our tutor, Mrs. Ratkeviciene, is a teacher of Mathematics. She must communicate with our parents and inform them about our records and problems at school. She always knows who is ill, who is absent.

You can find lots of after-school activities in our school.
There is a Pop group and a Folk group for music activities.
Children, who like singing, go to the pop group, ‘Bad girls’, those, who like playing folk instruments, go to the folk group, ‘Ausrele’ (the Dawn). There is a primary students’ music group, too.
There are Art and Technology workshops for children who like drawing, painting or designing.
Children like playing and acting. There is a Puppet Show Shop for primary and young students. The elder students go in for Drama studio, “Arlekinas” (‘Harlequin’). They act and perform in Lithuanian there. There is English Drama and Literature Club for students, who like English.
Students can play sports after school. Children like playing square and basketball in Sports Circle. There is a group of Young Tourists, too. Students can explore the neighbourhood after school. Students can learn about woods and forests and native wild nature in the Circle of Young Foresters.
There are Computer after-school classes for primary and senior students who enjoy computer driving.
Disco is very popular at school. We have got some new equipment. Everybody likes DJ Tomas music. Children can dance and have fun every Friday from 6 to 10 pm. However, only students from 8 to 12 classes can enjoy it!

This is ‘Ausrele’, the folk group. Sometimes some boys join it, too. Now you can see the fourth-tenth class schoolgirls in national costumes and with Lithuanian musical instruments.

‘Young foresters’ are taking some hay and grain for wild animals. The winter is too long; the deer, rabbits and wild boars cannot live to spring without our help.

You can see the young foresters again. They are taking nesting-houses to the neighbouring forests in March. Many kinds of birds fly back to their Motherland – Lithuania in spring. They must find their houses ready.

Do you have Shrovetide holiday? You can see a moment of it in Dieveniskes. Lithuanians celebrate Pancake Tuesday seven weeks before Easter and make lots of noise and fun. They eat lots of pancakes and gross food. Our schoolchildren like this holiday very much. They make masks, sing ancient folk songs, and shout loudly. Then, winter takes fright, leaves away, and spring comes!

English is fun when you can act and play!

Here you can see me in a preschool classroom. There are small chairs , small tables , pictures, books, many toys, carpets and three windows . Small children are noisy.

And this is my classmate Jolanta. She is in the same room, too.

Here you can see Jolanta, again. she is in our headmaster's room. Mrs.Mikalauskiene is a beautuful woman with large eyes and wavy dark red hair. She is very clever and attentive. You can see our school's flag behind the headmaster. It is Rytas-Morning-on it. Rytas is a mythological man. It is the symbol of our school.

My hair is black and my eyes are brown.

Mrs. Barsuliene makes timetables. She looks after teaching and after learning.

My name is Margarita. I am eleven years old. My hair is yellow. My eyes are blue. My hobby is sports and dancing. Here I am at the secretary’s, Mrs. Ziliene’s, room.
Mrs. Ziliene has got light blue eyes, her hair is brown. Mrs. Ziliene is kind and helpful. She is very clever. She knows everything. Mrs. Ziliene loves animals. She has got a cat. Murka, and a dog, Pukutis. Asta Ziliene makes copies, answers our questions. She is the right hand of our headmaster.

Hello! My name is JOANA. I’m eleven, years old. My hair is brown. I love this school.
You can see our teachers’ room. There are notice boards and timetables on the walls.

There are pouffes and a sofa, and a table. There is a computer. There are many plants. Teachers fill in the record books, relax and prepare lesson plans here. You see, your teachers’ room is different. Ours teachers have to share sitting and relaxing places. Your teachers have got personal places. But our students cannot stay in the teachers’ room, too.

My name is Irina. I like to play sports. My eyes are blue. My hair is brown. I am eleven years old.
The cloakroom is big. There are our jackets and sports outfit. You can see Mrs. Mikoleikiene here. She is a caretaker. She looks after our clothes.

This is a caretaker, Mrs Kazlovskaja. Sometimes she is angryJ. She is cleaning the second form’s classroom now. There are 6 caretakers and 2 workers in our school.
There are many desks, chairs, a globe and some toys in this primary classroom.

This is the first floor corridor. The corridor is long. There are pictures and paintings on the walls. There are notice boards, posters, too. There are lots of students during brakes. They run and shout. There are only cabinets on the first floor. Primary school classes are on the second floor.

Hi, my name is Jura Elena. My best friend is Angelina and Jolanta. I’m 11 years old.
I am a funny girl and I have got dark blond hair. I like to sing and to dance, but I don’t like worms and same sweet cakes. My favorite lesson is Sports and English.

Here I’m in our school canteen. You can see many tables and many chairs.

You can see many plates, cups and one cook - Mrs. Banel. She is pretty and nice. She cooks very delicious food. But we can’t cook here. We learn to cook in technology classroom.

We have got a buffet. You have got a kiosk. We can buy juice, lemonade, all kinds of sweets here, too. This is Mrs. Straleckiene. She is the head of the canteen. She is kind and attentive.

This is a Lithuanian cabinet. You can see three twelve-year students and a Lithuania teacher, Ms. Kisielyte. She is strict and very beautiful.

We think that our classrooms and cabinets are like your classrooms.

Hello my name is Edward. I am tall with short blond hair and blue eyes. I love to play sports, draw and paint.
You can see me in our Gym. We can play athletics, race, and play basketball or tennis here.
We don’t have swimming, because we haven’t got a pool.

This is a reading room. There are many books, desks and chairs, plants and video TV. There are posters and a notice board. Students can write papers and reports and do their homework there.
