Whose planet is this?

It's Spring! But looking around there are so many things out there besides spring flowers and green grass. Every year the same people are involved in cleaning up the ''garbage'' that other careless people leave behind. Isn't it time everyone did their part in keeping our planet clean? Who gives YOU the right to dirty what isn't yours? Whose planet is it anyway? Is this what you want your children to inherit?
Next time you want to throw even the smallest piece of paper on the street or on the grass, think twice.

Drug Abuse

Every year the age of drug users decreases. Now drugs are being used already by kids 10-12 years old. In some countries talking freely about drug abuse is still taboo. Schools aren't doing enough to stop kids from using them or at least warn pupils and students of the consequences of using drugs.

The Family

Violence in schools is the result of poor upbringing in modern families. In today's world the family is not respected anymore as it used to be in the past. People don't strive to marry anymore. Many have children out of wedlock. Children who grow up in such families have no sense of beloning and many times discipline is very low. There is no security at home, no sense of direction. It is these young teenagers that often find themselves in the middle of trouble - drug abuse, criminal acts, etc.
For a brighter tomorrow, it is vital to give the family unit its place in society. Without it the young of tomorrow are doomed.

New currency - higher unemployment?

In Slovenia some people are afraid that unemployment will increase when the Euro comes into the country and that everything will cost a lot more. So, the standard of the country will decrease...and there will be more poor people. How have other countries handled the transition? And is it really necessary to change the currency?
