Let's work together for our common future, for our sunny and prosperous life in the EU
Students and teachers from Vassil Levski Primary School in the village of Pop Gruevo, Bulgaria
Our school is called Vassil Levski Primary school. You can find us in the village of Pop Gruevo, 50 km away from the town of Dobrich. We teach 50 students from 1st to 8th grade. We have to merge classes because of the diminishing number of the students. Most of our students are bilingual, being of Turkish or Roma origins. The socio-economical status of the students' parents seriously hinders the teachers' work but we try to involve the students in extra-currucular and extra-mural activities, to bring them up to be responsible citizens with creative skills.
These flowers are for you - the participants in Spring Day 2007 from all over Europe

As the Hungarian adviser for Spring Day for Europe 2007, I am proud to announce that there are some great upcoming events in Hungary concerning the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the EU.
On 17 April, 2007 the EUROPE DIRECT Balaton Region Info Point organizes a large-scale event in Keszthely, where students, teachers, representatives of different NGO’s as well as librarians will gather to celebrate the EU’s 50th birthday and to discuss and debate its future. Many dignitaries will be present and will contribute to the success of the event.
The other outstanding event will be a conference organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Republic of Hungary. The conference entitled „Together in the European Union in the next 50 years” will be held at the Hungarian Parliament on 4 May, 2007.
This forum gathers people from the media, from different NGO’s, and from the educational sector. Both teachers and their students alike will participate in order to carry out together a dialogue and discussion on the future of Europe in general and the European values and their future role in particular.
Finally, I must mention that I have been kindly invited to take part in both of these promising events as a guest speaker. I am delighted to have the opportunity to further spread the word of Spring Day for Europe 2007 at these major forums.
Thank you for your attention.
